Cycle Lab Schools Mountain Bike Series

The Cycle Lab Schools Mountain Bike Series is South Africa’s largest inter-schools mountain bike league, sanctioned by Schools Cycling South Africa and committed to developing the next generation of riders. MoreCycle’s mission to grow youth participation and uncover tomorrow’s stars made taking on the management of this initiative a natural fit. Since its inception in 2022, the series has grown exponentially, from 600 riders in its first season to over 1,500 representing nearly 100 schools in recent years. Each season features five XCO short-track races across Gauteng, with additional rounds in KwaZulu-Natal, culminating in a National Final that unites the country’s top young talent. Catering to multiple age categories from U13 to U19, the series offers safe, competitive, and exciting racing for both boys and girls. The Cycle Lab Schools Mountain Bike Series is more than just competition, it’s a celebration of youth, sport, and the spirit of South African mountain biking.
